At Heartstone Massage sessions are priced based on time. We offer several different massage techniques to choose from and they will be mixed together to suit your individual massage needs. Some of the techniques and examples of the conditions they help are explained below.
Therapeutic massage incorporates deep tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, and stretching as needed to resolve areas of tension and pain. The purpose of a therapeutic massage session is to address the needs of each individuals body. This means that we can focus an entire session on a specific problem area (neck, back, legs, etc.) or address several issues and include some relaxing techniques to address stress as well. This style is great if you have specific areas you need worked on, as well as if you prefer a deeper, focused, massage to address muscle tension or injury recovery.
Often called Swedish Massage, this is a style of massage that uses lighter pressure and smooth, gliding strokes. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation. This style of massage is great if your main goal during your massage is stress relief or relaxation, also if you have areas of tension but prefer lighter pressure.
Reiki / Energy Work
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.
My name is Casey Brooks and I am the owner & massage therapist at Heartstone Massage. I completed massage training at the Salon Professional Academy in Fargo, ND in October 2016, Reiki Master training in September 2018, and I began my Barefoot massage journey in February 2019.
I combine several techniques as needed to best suit each client and their individual body's needs for the best results. I focus on learning techniques that help relieve a client's symptoms with the least amount of strain on my own body in the process.
I mix together the variety of techniques that I know to suit each person as an individual and meet their goals. I enjoy working with a variety of clients and have created a successful plan to help everything from chronic pain, migraines, headaches, injury recovery, and sports performance to quiet relaxation sessions to relieve stress and decompress from busy lives.
I strive to educate clients on what we are working on during sessions as well as how they can best help care for themselves between appointments and I am always happy to answer questions.
